Picked up my new TTR 9 yrs ago today, total cost of $6000au including on road costs brand new, build date of 2011

Plenty of tyres, a few new chains & sprockets, New tank decals & steering head bearings....pretty good IMHO

 This was one of the last batch of TT250R's sold in Australia, blue plastics, black frame, electric start & kick start, so when did they drop the TTR from sale in the UK ?

My recollection is that Yamaha dumped loads of blue TTRs into the UK in 2004 as they weren't going to meet the impending EU emission regs.

Dealers got a fantastic deal by buying in multiples but some dealers didn't sell all of them immediately. So, if a UK TTR250 is advertised as 2005 or later, it likely stood gathering dust in the dealer's showroom since 2004.

I am sure someone will put me right if I got any of that wrong wink
