Hi all, just saw this photo of Geoff Ballard with the tyre changing tool ( I have one as well ) and in the background is his TT250R.  Some of you may have heard of Geoff, loved his TTR & also raced XR's for years as well.

I read somewhere he bought the last few remaining TTR250's in Australia when they were run out in 2013. And he keeps one in NZ at a mates for trail riding. So he's definitely a TTR fan!

And if you look closely at the picture there is another TTR250 motor/frame sitting on a stand in the background so he's got something going on. Remember he used to race the 325 kitted 250's.

I remember reading that he fitted TTR forks to his WR because he liked them better

Hi,
Rumour has it that many years ago, Geoff had his eye on the TTR that I now own, as he wanted to keep one here in New Zealand for Enduro Rides.
I think the Ballard Company is now part of MX Store in Queensland.
A very big Dirtbike Shop.
Their Website is well worth a visit.
Cheers
Jeff

Kaos said that Geoff kept a TTR in NZ as well...The MX store is or was Ballards...I get lots from them with free freight...very easy to deal with

I visited their Shop a couple of years ago before they moved into their new premises and it was very impressive.
Bought some of their thick (4mm I think) Tubes and haven’t had a puncture since 👍🏿.
Also some padded shorts to try and assist with my “sore bum” problem on long rides.
They helped but the problem remains.
Seem to be ok for about one hour before I need to stop for abit of a “walk around.”
A 70 year old bum that is lacking in “natural padding” is probably the real problem.
Looking forward to another visit to MX Store when overseas travel reopens.
Cheers
Jeff
