Hi all,

Usually I only post to point out the obvious or ask really dumb questions but this time I thought I would share how my rebuild is going.

Firstly I thought my bike has always done me proud so a while ago I treated it to one of the first batch of 350 kits. I was too eager to ride the bike so overlooked tarting the engines appearance up, poor bike.

My girlfriend and I were intending to ride the bike to Siberia and beyond this year but due to the obvious (COVID) that got postponed. This gave me some extra cash to think about cleaning her up. Back I. 2018 I went throught the whole bike replacing every bearing possible etc, this time I wanted to do it properly.

This is its current condition, I need to get it rolling fairly soon then I'll focus on the engine. I think the cylinder head must be a little warn, most likely aftermarket stem seals as it does burn oil. The sprag clutch always seems to be a problem for me, I have replaced all the components multiple times but sadly before I removed the engine it was noisey and the pinnion on the starter was shot, and adjacent gear has lost a tooth.

Along side the engine I think I'll paint the plastics and get a decal kit from Russia :)

Sounds good, do post here any snippets on the rebuild as can be useful to others. I’m about to strip and rebuild mine down in the same way. Standard cc though

I had it rolling today, had to call it once it started snowing - my scruffs weren't warm enough!

After messing about with an xt660, ktm 950 adv, two c90s and half sorting a ttr raid I have finally got on to the open enduro again.

I'll be sending the 350 engine to be vapor blasted, has anyone had good results with it? Thought it may be a more robust solution over painting?

Sadly I just fitted a spare long venhill front hose, not sure I like the huge loop haha

Not too far off now!

The old venhill long cables were quite long, new ones are not made as long anymore.

PXL_20220713_072750645.jpgMOT day tomorrow, few little bits to sort before then but generally there.

My girlfriend and I will ride the ttrs to Hamburg early September and ship them to Chile to start a trip for a few years, plenty still to sort out before then!

I'll be putting a different headlight and screen set up on shortly, hopefully it'll look okay but we will see!

I need to make a brace for the rear end, extend the ttr rear ally rack and fettle a few other parts and sort out some graphics
