Generator cover oil leak
Permalink

Morning gents, have acquired a oil leak from the generator cover just below the starter. Is this a straightforward job to replace the gasket, or will I need other parts, oil seals, etc, or special tools. If it's just a remove cover and replace I'll have a go at it. Thanks in advance.

It's covered in here Wardy.

I would recommend pinpointing the source of the leak before tearing into it wink

Cheers Brian, yep found your great post just after I posted this. Leak is coming from the top right of the sprag cover just left, under the starter, with engine running you can see it bubbling out and it fills the little dip in engine case. Managed to get a gasket this afternoon. Is there anything else I should change while there, oil seals, etc.
