Thanks Brian. All original as far as I can tell. They're Australian Cattle Dogs. Only medium size dogs, but bred to take on cattle, so have no fear. The boys were checking it out as soon as she came through the gate. Fiercely loyal faithfull and brave. They know what they're supposed to protect too, so anyone who thinks they like my TTR more that I do, is probably going to pay a price trying to take it.

Good buy, you just made me think about my TTR also built in 2011 last year they were built I think, I bought mine new in 2013 but now I have to think of it as a 10yr old bike LOL, never thought about that before

My heeler has a touch of Kelpie in him. He's keen on a swim.

Speaking of dogs we have a Border collie pup, now 5 mths old, good looking boy but hard work

Lovely dogs Border Collies. Had two years ago. Super smart and full of energy. Takes about two years with most dogs I've found before they show their best.

Thanks for that and for the info Terry. Wasn't sure when the last year was they were made. 2006 is the year I keep reading about being the last year, but clearly that's not the case. Just love the TTR's, and reading somewhere that the WR's were meant to be a replacement for the TTR250's was a bit sad. I can just tell looking at a WR that it wouldn't be a bike for me. The TTR looks like a bike I can become one with. Love to see the TTR250's back in production though!!

Bah!! You don't know what hard work in dog ownership is until you own a Huski.

I walk four dogs most afternoons. The two Big Dogs live with me although technically I don't own them. The Huski is my daughter's but stayed with me when she 'flew the nest'. The Huski is now 16yo. The cattle cross is my son's and I'm "looking after him for the week end" which started about 5 years ago!

The two Smal' Dogs are my daughter's current dogs which I pick up each day for the walk.

As you know I have a TTR bought new in 2013 & a WRR bought new in 2016, both great bikes & way ahead of their time as they are still good today.

The TTR & WRR are so different to ride & I guess if you want a nice casual trail ride the TTR is the one but if you feel like a hoon then the WRR is the go, I love the front grip of the WRR & the brakes but the TTR is a well balanced package. I rode the TTR for the last 3 months but it is out of rego & going to put rego on the WRR Friday & give it a run, have not ridden it for over 3 months.

The WRR was a replacement for the TTR but they did overlap...WRR came out in 2008 & the last TTR's were sold in Australia in 2013 ( built 2011 ) so both bikes had a long production run, that would never have happened if they were rubbish.

The WR would be a lot of fun but I'm more of the TTR rider these days. Just looking at the WR makes me think I'd be sitting on a horse trying to throw me off. Besides that, I'd never get the best out of a WR, so happy to just chug about at reasonable pace on the TTR. Would have loved a crack at the WR in my younger days. She looks like a weapon!!!

Nice 2011 example Steve, it's interesting how many of the later "blue plastic tank" TTR's down here in Aus & NZ (I'm in NZ) I've seen now with fairly low mileage - I think that's more likely when they haven't been registered for road use.

I've just completed the process of getting my 2009 registered for the road and I put 100kms on it in the first couple of days! I think machines last longer and give less trouble with regular use and getting well warmed up each time (just like our bodies) with regular basic maintenance as well, rather than sitting around with only sporadic or brief spells of use.

I'll put up a pic of my finished bike (on my separate thread) shortly.
