Hello,

I'm new to the forum but been a long time ttr250 owner. Ive been running a 1999 ttr250 for just under twenty years now. I've had this bike since I was twelve years old. Have made some of my best memories on this bike. Lately I've been back riding it on all the tracks I rode as a young fella. Its triggered something in me, now I've taken a real interest in adventure bike riding. So I jumped on google done a couple searches and ended up finding this forum. I think I have found the inspiration, motivation and knowledge I need to modify my bike so its equiped ready for some long bush rides. Will chuck a couple photos up once I pick her up from the farm and bring her back to the city for the makeover.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Does the forum ever hold annual meet ups?
Im in a couple other forums for my other activities and they all tend to have meet ups all across the globe.

Sounds like a good plan the ttr will be a good bike for getting out and about

A bit more fuel and a good rack is a good start

I'm on the East Coast (manning valley)  getting ready to head out at the moment

Your only down the road I'm in Coffs Harbour.

Defiantly going to upgrade the tank to the 22ltr Acerbis XR tank. The plastic weld on my original tank is close to failing.

A rear cargo rack for sure. I also have my bikepacking bags from my gravel bike, so I might even see if I can retro fit some of them on to the ttr.

I wouldn't mind upgrading the front head light to something more powerful with a wider beam.

The closest to coffs other than riding through

Is to the west Walcha . Ebor . Dorigo

All my past bigger rides have been east of Aires rock

Haven't done WA or TAS as yet

Did a loop up close to kempsey and back today

Hope to get out again tomorrow.

Defiantly plenty of riding to be done here on the east coast.

Tassie is defiantly on my todo list whether its on the TTR or in the Troopy.

Have fun on your ride today. My bikes currently in pieces as I'm doing a major service on it to get it ready for a blue slip.

I'll have to go check out this other forum as well. Didn't realise there was such a cult following for the TTR. Its awesome to see!!

Found these Head Lights locally. Just wondering if anyone else has used this exact light. They're an Australian company.

It looks like it should fit a treat with no modifications. Only downfall is they're not going to be ADR approved.
