had a phone call from my mate yesterday & when I said I was taking the TTR out he wanted to come along, his TTR is at his holiday house so he took the WRR.
Gravel roads, summer tracks & farm tracks, we had some rain, lightning & thunder. We went up over the ranges & back.
couple of photos when we stopped at the top of the ranges.
Friday I took the D606's off & fitted the Adventure tyres back on as we will have dry weather for a few months. I removed the ADV tyres when I was having problems with turn in which turned out to be the steering head bearings. Any how I thought I would run them until they wear out.
I went from a D606 120/90 to the ADV 120/80 & left the 13T front sprocket on, I would normally replace the 13T with a 14T but it seemed ok so I might leave it & see how it goes.
Did 180 kms today in 35c & rain...bit sticky but at least I wasn't cold, that fat bastard in the photo is me LOL
Terry if you call that fat, you want to see some around here!
Nice you give your mates a loan of your bike, hope you charged him
My mate Dave has a TTR ( up at his holiday house) a WRR & a Scrambler, he used his WRR not mine, but I should lease his as it has only 5000kms, mine has 22,000kms...BTW my TTR hit 22,000kms yesterday.
I have my WRR off the road & using the TTR to reduce the kms on the WRR & MFW&F was saying you don't use the TTR might be time to sell it....bugger that
I’m interested in those rear view mirrors (“inboard”) that you have on your TTR.
My TTR has the standard mirrors and the rear view is passed my upper arm. How do the ones you have work out ?
To me the rear view on yours would be between the under-arm and body.
Where did you get yours from ?
Mine get hammered wherever I drop the bike (thankfully not often these days) and often snap the alloy bracket that attaches them to the handlebars.
Thanks in advance
Jeff
They are 3" enduro mirrors, cost around $25 each you can get them in the style on my bike or ones that screw into the standard yamaha mounts....I've used them on XR250, XR400, TTR & WRR & only broken one in all that period, yes I see between my jacket & arm. The other bonus is the fact you don't clip trees & bushes with the mirrors
