It's been 12 months today since the local forests started burning. Today the local forests reopened

Did a 170k loop around the more open parts of the valley.  Good ride not much dust but the snakes are out again it's very hard to be bitten one I managed to stop with it between my left foot and the bike must say I didn't stop very longbiggrin

Looks good, nice riding tracks & better than what I have here.

Seen a few snakes about but plenty of lizards, usually two weeks from when we see the lizards to when the snakes are out but then you get a cool day & the snakes retreat back underground or whatever.

We are lucky in Australia with Covid 19 & the weather as we can ride most of the year round unlike some parts of the world

Cheers Terry

The few weeks I couldn't ride due to cv-19 the forest was still burning.  Now it's pretty much normal.  Just seeing dead limbs starting to fall where it's been burnt.  So staying  out of the burnt stuff when it's windy ( we need a few good storms to clear them out )

We are definitely Lucky plenty of space and good riding here in oz

Looks like great riding. Amazing how quickly the native forests can and do regenerate. Just feel sorry for all the animals that get toasted. Snakes obviously survived!
Here in Vic we are transitioning from cold wet and slippery to dry dusty and hot. But I think I prefer the cool and wet more for riding.

hey what brand is the tool bag on your rear guard, I'm thinking of doing the same, my TT350 has one so I think the TTR needs one now! Less to carry on your back

I have a Ballard's pack on the back and a Ballard's fender bag on the front the front has tire repair and first aid stuff and I can get it from bike to bike

The back pack is so much lighter now

The back pack on my Dr I think the brand is savage a bit cheaper off eBay and seems pretty good too

Nice photos - thanks for sharing Les wink

I hate carrying a rucksack and find myself falling over the TTR when I fitted a rear fender bag so I use Wolfman kit - an enduro tank bag which holds loads of stuff (and doesn't get in our way when riding), a fender bag to carry a spare inner tube and tyre changing gear, and fit a rear fender bag to the headlight to carry a Slime compressor

Here is a pic of my old WRR with just the tank bag on.

Never thought of using a tank bag

How are they in really steep tracks

If they don't get in the way might be worth a try for longer rides

I've got a large tummy and the bag has never been a problem for me Les wink  It's one of my favourite bits of kit biggrin

Might give a tank bag a go

Just won't mention that a pommy mate suggested it biggrin

I already cop flack about my partially working leg I do tend to give it out as well. Got to love bench racing and friendly sledging

What forest? Locality? Track names?
I'm not a huge fan of really hard stuff. Just a bit more interesting than a graded gravel road.
