help mounting speedometer

Hello everyone, just bought a TTR from 2005 but the speedometer was not mounted.

Now I try to put it back but it seems not to fit (the holes are not aligned).

Can one of you take a picture of the mounting points of the speedometer so I understand how it should me mounted?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Boris

Hello all,

I post another image in case I am not clear.
I don't understand how I should mount the speedometer - I expected the holes in the pic align but they do not.

Do I miss a part? Is my speedometer not a first mount?

Thanks in advance for your help or pic of your speedometers mounting points!

you need to use the little brackets that was in your first picture, they have an long oval appearance with a hole either end.

I know the TTR Guru is on holiday, but hopefully he can help out soon.

Hi Boris and welcome to the forum!

It looks like you are missing some important parts to mount your speedo. I hope the photos will explain what you need.

Brian

Thanks Brian for the pics!

Should the speedo be mounted on the holes from image 1?

Because I now suspect that my headlight + optics are not a first mount (see image 2) and that the mounting points for the speedo were there originally...

Looking forward to read from you!

Boris

This photo shows how the bracket attaches to the fork yoke.
