Pillion max load

Hi.

I m using my TTR OE mostly for commuting in the city and some light enduro riding. From time to time, I ride with a pillion on the bike and naturally the bike kinda ´sits´. I stiffen the rear shock and the ride is ...ok but It makes me wonder if I m damaging the subframe by riding with pillions since its such a light and narrow bike.

I weigh 70kg and my pillions rarely weigh more than 80kg, My question is: Is it safe riding IN THE CITY, from time to time with a net weight of 150kg on the TTR? I dont care about the rear shock wear and tear, I just dont wanna find my subframe bent or broken. Btw, a TTR250 manual i ve downloaded gives 90kg of max load for rider, gear etc which confuses things even more.

Tasos

Don't worry you could put an elephant on the back and it won't break.I have gone off-road with pillion camping gear chainsaw ect never had a problem. The handling is affected so be careful .Just slow it all down .
