Just wondering if you can fit a Speedo drive with cable to purple wheel !

the purple wheels have the same lugs on them as the blue bikes, so this will drive the speedo gear unit from a later bike, if that's what you are trying to do?

So I don’t need to change fork leg then ! Just my old dr had a little lug on bottom of the fork leg ,

I thought you was trying to run your speedo with purple wheels, didn't realise it was the other way roundno and that you are trying to fit the later speedo to your OE with purple wheels.........

Have you found some speedo parts for the later bike, as they won't be cheap.

If you are fitting a cable driven speedo to your OE then it almost certainly won't have the lug on the fork leg but, if you find a way to hole the cable in the correct position on the fork leg, it is unlikely that the speedo drive will turn on the axle. A friend made this mod and had no problem - I found this photo but not his thread.

Thanks for that, my boys going to get one of those digital dash’s I think they are called endurance 2 that that run down to the brake calliper. Well I be paying for it! But it’s worth it, he’s already cleaning and tinkering with it, ! Well at least he’s not on a computer , now he’s just got to come to work, plastering with me!
