Got white Oe. 94. To me it sounds a little bit tappy  checked oil all nuts bolts  could it be cam chain  need help please..

Have you checked the valve clearances? you may need to adjust the shims.

Thanks for reply. No I’ve. Only had two stokes do i need special tools. I’ve been trying to listen to engine sounds over Internet some sound abit tappery some not. Bike runs. Really well will it hurt. The bike !! It’s quite a old bike 94 Oe does that make a difference cheers. For your help.

I’m going to change the oil and filter plug air filler still. Looks good !! It might. Just be me. How much would motorcycle shop charge for changeing. Shims. Or check them.

I bought the bike off of a bloke that lived up north. And I have a lot of paper work saying he bought shims pinston rings cam chain. In 2018. From you ttrs. May be u remember the bike I have lots of records and recites of lots of bits he’s bought from you. And he never used it as a daily runner !! How long do shims last

Just found paper work saying he bought piston ring set 11/10/18. Would he of checked shims then ! I think he new what he was doing because he did nothing by half from exhaust studs to starter motor kits and new stators bikes had a lot of work that’s y I bought it off of the gettllemen

Air cooled motors are noisy  . If it's quiet things are a bit too tight 

It's more rattles and clunks that are a worry with Ttrs

It sounds likes tappets on a car that need adjusting ! Might just get them checked for picse of mind. Thanks for your info your be hearing. From me soon for couple of bits thank u
