Replacing swingarm bearings on a Raid

When I look where the bearings will fit, there is a lip perhaps an inch in where the bore size is smaller

Should the bearing be pushed in until it stops against the lip

This will leave the bearing about 15mm in from the outside edge of the swingarm

No pictures as I've already pushed them in so that they are flush with the outside edgeno

Thanks for any help😊
