got a new O’Neil dual sport helmet this week it’s pretty good fits well has a drop down tinted visor which I only used getting back across town vents well snd comfy
I prefer the helmet with the visor when offroading to the goggles. Lift the visor slightly and it stops it fogging up, i could never get used to the goggles.
I used open face helmets with goggles for years before being converted to a visored helmet. I use a Shoei Hornet DS for offroading. For our wet cold winter rides the Pinlock feature is an essential requirement!
However for road riding, especially on the 1955 A10 Golden Flash, the Schoei looked a bit out of place so, still staying modern, I bought an LS2 Metro Evo with a flip up front, sun visor and, also, Pinlock - great helmet!
I thought there might be a bit of discussion on this
It seems you guys agree with the visior
I had a shoei which went all over Australia 98000ks before it gave its all to save my head. Smashed the left hand side with no so much as a headache
Since then I've worn out three full face mx helmets and several goggles great in dust
Yesterday I was reminded of the better vision and the ability to pop the visor up for a bit of a breeze on the hot day. The drop down visor inside the main visor is like a pair of sunnies easy to move using the outside tab. Only looked at the vents after I got home they were closed can't wait to try them

For me the visored helmet is the safest when i offroad because i mix it with open tracks and some that have briars and shoots of trees in the track and at head height they can do some damage if you get it in the mush at speed.
