Raid and TTR

Well, I am considering swapping the rear suspension and swing arms on my Raid and my standard TTR.  I understand that the aluminum swing arm has a longer bolt.  Not sure just which bolt.  Since I would be swapping them I don't see this as much of a problem.

Besides being lighter, are there any other benefits?

Also, anyone wanna come over and do it for me?!

Morning Michael!

It's the axle on the OE that is longer as the aluminium swingarm has wider sections than the steel Raid swingarm.

It really is the sprung weight that you are saving that makes the difference. Are you swapping the Raid's steel linkage arm for the OE's as well?

Pay my fare and accommodation and I might come over and do the swap for you wink

Thanks Brian. Hum... I did some reading on just what sprung and unsprung weight was. Interesting.

Well, if I ask the girlfriend we might manage a one way ticket for you guys! HEHE
