I have a couple of new metzler 360 mid/hard rear tires in the shed they will be going on the ttr and the Dr soon. They are a new tire .road legal and aggressive tread
Will post pics and progress soon
If they work as well as they say and look might be a good investment
(took some pics today recon I can get a bit more out of the pirelli on the ttr and the Dunlop on the Dr)

I really like them, but they are sooo tall. You can feel the change in handling, and have to run the chain at it's longest adjustment.
They grip like anything though.

Thanks for the feed back something to look for when it's on
Did a few hours this morning on the old pirelli scorpion went well a bit slippery under brakes but an other ride or two left in it

do you really need a full knobbly on terrain that hard...
I imagine the ground is to hard for the knobs to penetrate
So instead of riding on the top of little rubber blocks..
a tyre that puts more rubber in contact with the ground
maybe as good if not better..."Shinko 700"

.
Good feedback . It's dry and Rocky but a fair amount of powder and sandy stuff
And so the tyre debate begins, again...
Regarding my comment on tallness, when I bought mine, the only rear size available was 110/100, but that relates to the carcass only - the knobbles are massive - but it's a great tyre. I haven't noticed what sizes are out now - what've you got Les?
I've been running MT21's on the WRR & replaced the D606's on the TTR with MT21's but not as good as on the WRR but I guess it might just be the bike. I remember my XR250RC had 2 rim locks on the rear & 1 on the front...what a pain & it really didn't have much power & I would fit a large tyre....wrong. Now I go with a small tyre as the bike handles & turns better.
Put 110ks on the tire (the other bike ) it is defiantly taller but I'm 6.3 .does exactly what they claim really quiet and smooth on road works really well in the bush . No chunking not a lot of wear and looks promising

Lucky you, I'm only 5'6" so I struggle with both the TTR & WRR seat height, ok when moving but can be a problem when I stop
Put a few hours on the metzler 360 .its proving to be a really good all round tire. Quiet and smooth on the black top last weekend on dry dusty hard dirt it was good today in mud and rain excellent
The mud turned into dust then rain the last 15 mins
Very happy with it. It is a tall tire though and is quite noticable when you first get on and if your getting over logs ect

The tire has a few rides now it's wearing well works well in all sorts of road/track .(1100ks)
Just a bit tall and is a bit cramped in the swingarm an extra link in the chain and there's plenty of room had a 13on the front and went up-to a14 bought the wheel a bit too far forward
Really happy with it recon I might stay with them

I had a set of mid/hard MC360s on my DRZ and they worked a treat. Was thinking of trying a set on the TTR when the current tyres have worn out, nearly there. This has been a really useful topic, thank you.
I've only used them on the back will use them on the back again. Really like my mt21s on the front they wear a bit quick but work really well for me
The MT21's are outstanding on the WRR, I tried one on the TTR but to be fair it had already done 5000kms on the WR.
Got Maxxis Adventure tyres on the TTR & not happy with the front on gravel but the idea was to use the TTR on easy rides & even around the black top as I'm finishing work at the end of June.
Another ride had a mate ride the Dr and me on the ttr very happy with the 360rear tires. Wearing well good grip every where but really slick clay surprising grip on sealed road. Rode 9 hours today with a bit of everything will be sticking with them for a while
Update the metzlers defiantly dont like the warmer days down to about 900ks max out if the rear . Handle well but wear is a bit high now it's a bit warmer.
