What could be the reason? If it's a brake, what should I do?
Thank you

Check the bearings are not breaking up.

Check the brake disc/rotor is not warped.

Take off the front brake caliper and make sure the pins slide properly.

Take the fluid reservoir cap off and press the caliper piston back gently. You will spill some fluid! If the piston sticks, pump the brake lever to force it out and see what the chrome surface looks like.

Sometimes aluminium corrosion behind the dust seal forces it against the piston. Carefully remove the dust seal and clean the groove.

It is not very difficult, but it is messy. The hard part is bleeding the air out of the system afterwards!

I will try to do all this when I'm a little warmer. Or is there just air?

Masz to. Brudne i zardzewiałe szpilki. Wyczyściłem i nasmarowałem, jest OK.

However, I have a second problem. The small Phillips screw fluid reservoir is broken and I don't know how to unscrew it carefully.

Sadly that is quite a common problem Tom.

You may need to drill the heads of the bolts off to allow you to remove the master cylinder reservoir cover.

This will expose a short length of threaded bolt which you may be able to undo with a good set of pliers or vice grips.

If that fails, and you have access to someone with a MIG welder, this is what I have had to do in the past.

Place a washer over the bolt and weld it on.

It should then easily unscrew.

It's only one screw, the other is good. However, I do not have Mig and I will drill. Thank you Brian

I think these bolts need to be replaced for better heads.

If you can get a left-hand drill bit then that might undo it as you drill wink

Unfortunately, neither the eraser nor the paste did not help and the small chisel and hammer and knocking around. Now there are new good screws and tightened wisely. Thank you all.
