I finished overhauling my TTR a little over a year ago, still have some cosmetics to do. I love this motorcycle and it’s been one of the best years of my life.
I love those bars, they came off a mini bike. I did it for the retro look, but it turned out they are great because I can stand fully without straightening my arm’s and it’s a little easier to hang on when you’re halfway off the bike in ruts, etc. They are very comfortable for road cruising. I’d say the steering feels about the same to me, and I can still handle it just fine off road. I’m a fairly big guy so it definitely increased comfort.
The extended cables and brake line I got from Brian worked out great 👍🏻
The only drawback is when I have a passenger, my elbows are right next to my rib cage. But I still made a fine recovery one time when my sis and I went for a little slide on a mud patch.
