hi all ,thanks for the add . I'm from s/e suburbs of Melbourne. Had this 07 model for about 4 months now. Surprisingly capable little bike . Added Jimmy button bars , b&b bashplate, tail tidy and rear rack .USB port as well . Fold away mirrors, heated grips , screen and d606's all round to come , maybe a rotopack for extra fuel . I have a coyote basin bag which fits well . Might have to make a small ally cover for exhaust. It sits a bit close . Only other mod was welding wing nuts onto the seat bolts . What a pia they are . I have a gs1200 for long trips and a drz400 for more trail orientated trips . The drz is getting a bit heavy to pick up fully loaded , so I thought I'd give the ttr a go . If it's ok I'll get rid of the drz . I'm 60 now so the lighter the better . Time to slow down and enjoy the scenery . Any thoughts on a ttr250 rally/get together ? Anyway some good ideas on here . Will keep in touch . Cheers to all the ttr family.
Welcome to the forum Stephen!
Acerbis tank makes a good mod to save carrying heavy weight on the back. The rear subframe is not the strongest, but some simple struts triangulating down to the pass. footrests take the strain, and help keep soft throwovers stable.
Enjoy the ttr, you might find you're not slowing down all that much!
Ride safe,
Simon.
