I was rebuilding my carb and attempted removing my accelerator pump nozzle thinking it was simply a screw in type jet... needless to say i was wrong. I attempted screwing it out, stripped it, proceeded to drill it out and remove with a screw extractor thinking i could just replace it... wrong again. Its pressed into the carb body and I can't buy a new accelerator pump nozzle to have pressed in :(
Curious if anybody else has dealt with such a **** up. Wondering if i could buy some other screw in type accelerator nozzle for a different carb and just thread my carb body approriately to install it. Or do I have to go about replacing the entire carb? If I go that route, what have people went with in regards to aftermarket carbs for their bikes? Imagine i could get aftermarket cheaper than stock.
Sorry to hear of the problem. Have you any photos please? I am interested to see what came out.
If the nozzle is just a plain bit of brass tube with a bend in it then its possible to buy such tubing.
There is nothing on your profile so am guessing you might be UK based? If so, something like this may do the business - https://www.ebay.co.uk/c/1036768965
Bend, cut to length and either sleeve to fit the hole or Araldite it in.
