Anyone have any experience repairing a cracked tank?

From what I can see, plastic welding would be the way to go, but it's important to exactly match the plastic compound to the tank to make it a long term solution.

I've been trying to find a tank for my '99 but they're nowhere to be found.

Hi Nate and bad luck with the tank. I have heard of cracked tanks being repaired but I haven't seen any details of the type of plastic needed to effect a repair.

Maybe look for an after-market Acerbis tank to fit instead?

Some ideas here

Brian
