Base valves for Raid model front forks

I am looking for two base valves for my Raid front forks. The ones I found after disassembling my forks show evidence of some serious mechanical abuse, and some parts appear to be missing as well. See the pictures. I have no idea what the mechanic was trying to achieve... Maybe he didn't either confuse, so he decided to repeat it on the other one, hoping to see the light. no

I have tried to find pictures of a disassembled one to see what the missing parts look like and to see if I could improvise a repair, but I've had no luck with that either.

If anyone has a spare one or two of these I'm very interested.

Should you have a picture of a disassembled one showing all the parts I'd be happy to check what parts mine are missing. I just fear that mine are too far gone to be repaired.

Hi Simo and welcome to the forum!

I don't have any fork parts left here so can't take a photo for you. However, I have blown up the base valve from other photos I have in my library which I hope may help

Thanks a lot Brian!

The picture confirms what I was able to deduct from the parts I have. An exploded view would have been even better as I believe there is a washer at the bottom of the spring with a series of small holes in it. Anyhow, I will use whatever is left of my parts and add what seems to be missing so that hopefully I get some damping control into my forks. I was hoping that there would be an alternative solution by stripping everything from these valves and adding cartridge emulators in the forks, but it seems those are not available for the TTR 250. I suppose the original forks are good enough so there's no demand...

These early forks seem rare as the design was soon changed for the later models, so my other option is to find a newer set of fork legs that fit my Raid with the digital speedo.

Shame Bri and I could not help you. All model fork will fit, even the blue bike.

Found a very rough Raid in a local motorcycle garage and I bought what was left of it for parts. It had forks in good condition, with the valves. Also a complete front light with the support which I needed for my bike as well.
