Clutch casing leaking oil

My leak from the banjo bolt on the clutch casing has got to a point where it needs repair. It seems the threads have been stripped as i cannot tighten the banjo bolt to the copper washer and casing. Can the threads be repaired here?

Yes - they can be Helicoiled but take every care to make sure no swarf gets in the oil galleries.

I have had a couple of TTRs where I couldn't stop a leak from those banjos and I now use Dowty (AKA bonded seal) washers on my builds. Not had a leak since and you don't need to take a risk of over-tightening the bolts and stripping the thread.

Hi Brian thanks for the speedy reply. I've just stripped it down and the upper portion of threads have been completely stripped. I will clean and blow through with air to remove any swauf. Would you happen to know the size helicoil required? I will also look into those washers that you mentioned as you say they work.
