Longtime lurker, first time poster here. What a great resource for us owners.
Chasing some advice before I strip down my ttr. I have a leaking base gasket that needs replacing. The breather isn't blocked, engine is not blowing smoke or have any other symptoms that would indicate other problems.
Just wondering if when tearing down I can replace gaskets, rings, valve stem seals and call it good? Anything else I should consider doing? New piston? Timing chain? Etc. . .
It's a 2007 with 10,000kms
Thanks guys.

For what it's worth, I re did my base gasket at around 20,000k's.
New base gasket, head gasket and standard rings and put it all back together. Was a quick job (heading away on a big trip no time for full rebuild as seemed relatively ok) and went well for another 5-10,000klm before the bike was written off. Didn't hone the bore or clean up the valves etc.
I've still got it for parts and notice the base gasket is weeping again from the same spot. Next time sealant as well.
