Been many years since I last posted on this forum but now I'm selling my son's TTR so thought I'd give you guys first option as I'd rather see it go to someone who appreciates the TTR.
A 1999 open enduro been on sorn since 2016 because he hasn't been using it.
I've gone over the bike added some new fork boots, new front disc pads and new battery.
The carb has been stripped and ultrasonically cleaned to remove any old petrol residue and the fuel tank flushed.
The bike has been "uncorked" meaning the airbox has been modified to allow for the altered carb jetting, also has FMF silencer for better breathing, can supply original silencer to buyer.
The bike starts well, runs well and equipment functions as it should. (amazing seeing as it has been passive for so long).
The downside... (I dont want to misled anyone who may be interested)
It has no road tax and no MOT
There is wear on the fuel tank paint work from knees gripping the tank.
There is wear on the frame paint work above the foot rests.
The white plastics are a bit grubby.
All superficial really, would make a great project for a hard core TTR fan.
Check out the pictures you'll see more detail.
I'd be very pleased if someone on here got some fun from it as myself and my son did.
Wheelman I know its cheap, I set that price to try and get interest in it. I want to shift it as its been doing nothing and feel its just being wasted.
Unfortunately no one is showing any interest.
Guess I'll start advertising it elsewhere and hope I get some action.
At the moment "stringy" (simon) is seriously interested, we have spoken and he intends to view the bike next week so feel its only right to let that play out.
If he turns it down I'll let you know but that won't be until later on next week.
