So my wheels have a number of holes in the rims. I assume for rim locks as I can't think of anything else. I don't have rimlocks but will the holes cause issues? Won't the inner tube try to get out? It hasn't done as I've pumped them up but i wouldn't want it to change it's mind at speed. If they need blocking up which is a pain now the tyres are on what could I use?
The rim tape inside will help prevent the tube from trying to escape. Normally if rim locks are not fitted a rubber plug is fitted instead.
I sometimes don't fit a rim lock in the front as I rarely lower the pressure in the front tyre and I'm not an aggressive braker. Better wheel balance and fewer vibes.
If you're road riding don't worry about a rim lock. If you want to fit one, the Motion Pro ones are nice and light so don't affect your wheel balance too badly.
What sort of rubber plug, ones you can buy? I've never seen them and I could probably get them in from the top if I let the tyre down. Where are they from do you know?

The Yamaha part is called a grommet - part number 90480-10068
However, they are designed to be fitted from the inside of the rim. After forgetting to fit one, I tried fitting it from the outside unsuccessfully
Best to bite the bullet and buy one, let the air out and pop the tyre off the bead on one side to give you room to push it over and fit the grommet.
