Hi all,

I'm calling on some local knowledge from my TTR friends in the UK.

My wife and I are flying into Manchester on May 23rd (woo hoo a month away) and hiring a car,  We have a rough plan to hire a car, head west across to Wales and roughly do the coast south back down into England.   We have to be back in London by 31st.

We are open to suggestions for places to see, mainly like smaller towns rather than cities, ie Port Merion  historical stuff, castles, natural stuff like parks etc.   Have researched online but looking for some local knowledge /suggestions to help out.

What towns / national parks should we do (or avoid)

Probably first night at Conwy.   Port Mierion looks good.   Any other recommendations.  Pubs, hotels towns etc,

Oh and a visit to the TTR shop ;)

Is there anything to see out at Anglesey??

Thanks

Steve

We went to Port Merion last time we were over in 2016, allow 3/4 of a day to look around, always plenty to see in the Uk, have fun

Cheers Terry

If the weather is good, Snowdon (Wales' highest mountain) is pretty spectacular - a good strenuous walk or you can take a train to the top! Touristy but the views are amazing.
I would carefully state Anglesey is not really worth a detour.
I'm trying hard not to just point you in the direction of all the fine trail riding in the area!

I don't mind a walk but 6 hours or so is probably not my style, could do 2 or 3.  Will pass on the opinion on Anglsey to the Mrs.

Wouldn't mind trail riding the area would be awesome but will be stuck to a rental car.

Thanks
Steve

coastal lines of Devon are fantastic, Dartmoor has some stunning scenery and villages and TTR Towers would welcome a visit
