My Carb inlet has a white plug in it, is this normal or has something been removed from the inlet?

Someone has removed the "resonator" box, see here for info and discussion:

Not a big issue, but the carb and inlet system was designed to have it. People remove it to "simplify" their bike, but it's not really that complicated anyway

Thanks Mossproof, my bike seems to run OK without it, so I’ll leave it as is.

yes shouldn't make any difference at all, if anything frees up a little bit of room.
