Yamaha never sold the plugs separately and told me the only way I would get one was to buy a complete cover. See here  bleh

The original Yamaha blanking plug is 25mm x 5mm but I was never able to find an after-market plug of that size - only 25mm x 7mm. See here for an example of what to look for. They fit OK.

So,  25mm x 7mm should probably fit. I guess?

Are these OEM end caps interchangeable? I want to exchange it between two bikes. I don't want to exchange crankcase covers cause one is in very bad condition.

Similar story with other motor company. Currently I have similar case with my 5th bike Suzuki DR 350SE. Camshaft has automatic decompression. There is a spring inside that needs replacement cause decompression does work properly.

Bloody Suzuki does not sell springs, they only offer entire camshaft for 300$.

You could maybe try to find a 25mm frost core plug

 Oh yes biggrin

PS What do you refer to when you say "OEM end caps"?

PPS You seem to have four TTRs plus the DR350S and maybe other offroad bikes. Do you hire them out or run trail tours Arthur? It would be interesting to know as there could be potential customers on the forum biggrinbiggrin

Hello was there any luck with the kickstart hole plugs? Is there one someone who has specifaically used one that worked fine that they could show me please? i have a very small leak.. Ive tempoarily glued a perfectly fitting 2p to the outside rubber plug and stopped it,(i meant the scratched plastic part PHEW!) i really dont want to buy a kick start but im the sort of impulsive person that will if there is not other option.

If you can find a kickstart kit I would go with the impulse - they're currently Unobtainium so you could sell it on for any price you ask!!

The nitrile rubber end caps Brian found...

simplybearings.co.uk/shop/product_info.php

...will do the job. Press into place from inside (ie with the case cover off) using a large socket to spread the load evenly (the metal is usually quite soft).
