LED indicators

Hi

Purchased Small LED indicators for my 2004 LEO.

Fitted them today and they light up but do not flash on both sides, double checked I had wired them up correctly.

Any ideas???

Have you either (a) fitted resistors to make up the missing watts or (b) changed the flasher unit to one designed to work with low-wattage LED indicators?

If not, that might be the cause of the problem.

You don't need both! Easiest is to buy the low wattage flasher unit. Take the old one in to your local road-bike shop and they should be able to get one over the counter to match. That's what I did to slow the flashers down on my W800 wink

Hmmmm - thinking about it - could your existing flasher have coincidentally just packed up as you aren't getting any flashing at all?  The usual symptom of fitting lower wattage indicators is that they flash much too quickly......

I like to try gadgets

I bought two sets of universal rubber led waterfall indicators off eBay  one set are white day driving lights until you turn the indicator on then they flash orange in the water fall effect.  The other set are straight orange water fall effect

I split the two sets up and used the combo ones on the front and the single function on the rear using a two terminal led flasher unit.

I now have two day driving lights on The front until I select an indicator then one flashes orange once the indicator is turned off it reverts to a day driving light

Thanks Les!

I also found a set with white/amber for the front and red/amber for the rear! See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123887171866

I wonder if they would be road legal in the UK confuse

The red amber on the back sounds good.

They fit the original brackets OK and a tip don't over tighten them the bolt only goes into rubber

Mine are finger tight with a nip up with a spanner
