Hey all,

I have a TTR frame for sale. I bought it with the aim to get it powder coated and then move the components from my bike onto it in-order to minimise the amount of time I'd be without a bike. Since I'm not going to be in a position to do this for a while and my plan has changed to buying a second bike that I can use whilst I do have time to tidy up my TTR, Im selling this frame.

It's still wrapped from when it was delivered to me so I don't have any pictures as I'd rather not have to repackage it. I will offer a refund if the frame is cracked or in someway not fit for purpose once delivered just so you have piece of mind.

Again Im not looking to make a profit, just recoup what I paid for it, and Id like this to go to someone on these forums in the hopes of seeing what they do with it.

Hi Rob

Just to help you with your sale, does the frame have a V5 and, if so, what year is the frame? If not, is it from a metal-tanked or blue TTR?

It is a year 2000 frame which I believe would make it blue?

Ive emailed the chap I bought it off to ask about the V5.

Hi Steve,

Got an email back from the breaker I bought it from -

It came to us having been used primarily as a field bike and we didn't receive a V5 or registration number I'm afraid.

You are still able to obtain the log book by filling out form V62, just fill out as much info as you can and leave the registration box blank. When you send it off include a covering letter telling them that you believe the vehicle is road registered, but you don't have the vehicle registration number.

So seems like a fairly easy task to get a new V5, but that would be a job for the frames new owner smile

Hi Brad, I'm afraid the bash plate is sold now. Apologies for not updating this post sooner.

 

I'm also from Brighton by the way, did I see you on your ttr down by Preston circus a few months ago? I would've been on mine too..!

Can anyone tell me if these two mounts come with the bike for the original guards? Or are they specific to the CRD bash plates?

They would have come with the CRD bashplate - they aren't standard fittings.

Thanks Brian, getting the lower bracket off - is it as simple as just undoing that bolt? Do I need to replace the bracket with washers or anything?

Just take it off - no need to put anything back unless you are replacing the original "engine bar".

The back bolt holds the engine in place. Make sure you put it back!! No need for spacers as long as there's enough thread for the nut to tighten.
