Stator Output

So according to the Service Manual and the Baja Designs website the stator puts out about 150 watts A/C.  I want to replace my headlight with a LED version but most of those say you need D/C.  I'm confused as I'm pretty sure the stock headlight is running on D/C as the goober that owned by my bike before me grafted a LED pod into the headlight wiring harness and it works fine.

So which is it?  Do I need an A/C compatible headlight?

All OK  supply to all lighting and charging is dc

Stator has AC output then goes through recifier/regulator output DC

So led will be ok

Thanks guys.  I figured it would work but wanted to check before dumping money into a light.  I've been taking pictures of my (budget) restoration and will make a thread once I feel I'm at a respectable point.

The info on this site has been invaluable.
