swing arm chain guide badly needed
Permalink

Hello fellow ttr riders,

The swing arm chain guide is in really bad shape on my blue dream and unfortunately it seems to be pretty hard to come by a replacement without leaving an arm and a leg at the local Yamaha dealer. Since she is my only vehicle and I live about 10 mile up the mountains from the nearest store etc I rely quite heavily on her. Is there anyone in the forum who could help out - either with a used part or a hint as to an aftermarket solution. I'd be very grateful.

Happy riding everybody

Ps: unfortunately the block seems to be out of stock at totallyttrs and the aftermarket solutions from acerbis,mx1 etc don't fit as the vendors tell me

It would certainly be worth buying a new aluminium cover from Steve if the plastic slipper and block aren't completely worn though.  Looks like only one left in the shop so move quickly if you want it!

seems to be a difficult part to find outside the yammi dealership. checked hills, used parts dealers in france and germany, ebay... all ro no avail. anyone have an idea, maybe an easier ti source part from another bike. or 3d printing files for the plastic parts? it's about parts 14 to 19 on the diagram. cheers and happy ttr'ing

I found a website where you can get both parts new for around $40 plus shipping. www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/c/yamaha_motorcycle/parts
