TTR250 - Advice on value please
Permalink

Hi,

This is my second thread as I think I broke the other one, I can't see the contents, no idea why. Damn, typed in loads of info too.

Could you give me some advice as to how much my bike is worth please? It's a 93 import open enduro that I'm just not using any more. Cosmetically a bit of a mess but mechanically very good. I've done the following...

  • New tyres
  • Took barrel off and fitted gasket kit to fix oil leak
  • Reseated leaking exhaust and valve and had carb jet changed to make run correctly
  • Rebuilt brake master cylinder and fitted new front brake hose
  • Fitted new brake pads
  • Fitted new throttle cables

I will do the following before sale...

  • MOT, sailed through last time, am confident
  • New battery
  • New chain

The bike runs really well, started on 5th kick after being stood for a few years. Has electric start. Has CRD silencer.

Advice on value would be much appreciated.

Edited so that we can see it on a normal screen - not everybody has VistaVision. biggrinbiggrin

well it don't look that bad 3-4 hours cleaning would help then if the fuel tanks sound around £1200 as it has the kicker as well you could get £1500- £1800. or take the kicker kit off and sell that for £400-£500 as the are made of pure unattanium and one or two people on hear always seem to be looking for one

The OE's can vary massively from £800-£1800. Just take a look at completed listings on ebay.

You could make a bit more as pug has said by selling the kick starter kit separate.

Thanks for sorting out the images Martyn, I think I broke the other thread trying to do that.

The tank is fine as I stored it with a full tank so no rust. Didn't realise the Kickstarter was the rare thing, thought the electric start was. Don't want to break it. Will do the cleaning and the planned work and then will advertise it for 1500 so thanks Pug. It owes me nothing and I'd be more than happy with that.

Cheers

Mark

Think I would offer the kicker up on hear see what someone will pay for it with a clutch side case swap for the cover off there bike. Its only about an hours work to pull the bits out and re-fit in total its got to be worth a bit of fishing with it.

Makes sense. If anyone wants to swap their non kick bits for my kick bits plus cash please let me know. If you live near Newbury we can swap them over in the garage.

Cheers

Mark
