Just thought i'd let you all know that Dan and Jordan from this forum are starting their adventures tomorrow, to hopefully end up in Australia in 6 months time.
What a great adventure that will be, sing out if you make it to Tassie - I have to say for riding, its a place you don't want to miss. If you need a place to stay or someone to show you around let me know.
A route map would be great, how do you overland that whole thing? The getting in and out of India part -- Iran and Pakistan I guess? Then its either across Burma, or up through Assam and down through China?
I believe they were aiming to go over "the 'stans" (Kazak, Uzbek etc) and into China. Can't remember if India was on the itinerary, but if not, Laos then Thailand is feasible (if they can take their bikes into Thailand - rules have tightened up recently to stop Chinese tourists arriving and causing traffic mayhem - some of the worst drivers I've ever come across!)
Is there a plan on facebook? (I'm not on it)
Sorry guys haven't really posted on here since leaving. Thanks for all the support!
Malcolm nailed the route, ten days in and we are currently at Split, Croatia enjoying the sun. Its such a cool city!
The bikes have been behaving so far, nothing major has pcropped up, i hopefully will be getting a few jets to tweak how its running overthe trip.
We did a cool trails, the first Monaco which went too 1050m above sea level and was a dilapidated ww1 track with bunkers in the mointains
. The second was at 1200m gravel track in slovenia and the latest was a really steep and very very rocky route up the mountains as it had heavily rained and was also muddy the poor bikes struggled with grip but clawed their way up with relative ease. They really arent that nimble with the e07s and luggage haha
We'll see how much cash we've got before commiting to too much in austrailia but it'd be great to meet people/go to Tasmania!

LOL - we missed each other Daniel! Spent a week in Podstrana just up the road from Split and flew back on Tuesday
I don't know which way you are travelling but we were very impressed by Pesak - had a fantastic mixed grill there cooked in view whilst overlooking the Adriatic.
Also I had my first ever Chateaubriand in the Restaurant Bastion in Omis - best steak ever - and sensibly priced as is their lovely Croatian wine
Thanks for the update and I hope the rest of your trip goes as well
Brian
PS We were given a post-dinner honey brandy liqueur at one restaurant. Avoid at all costs unless you like the taste of toilet cleaner! Supposed to be medicinal
Keep posting, i'm interested in this. No hassles but any vids aval, prob don't have time. Understand. Would be great to see some footage but. Living the dream guys.
