Cheers y'all, my skis are still down but I couldn't resist getting the bikes out last week.  Thursday rode Shotgun Creek west slope of the Cascades, muddy as hell on the shady sides of the hills, bad, and snow, temperate rain forest volcanic ash/cinder over clay/detritus.  Friday drove an extra hour over to Cline Buttes on the east slope, much better, got a little dusty as the day warmed up, high desert volcanic ash/cinder over basalt flows.  Still loving these bikes, a bit slow but they fo sho.  Got on some nice new rubber for spring.

The new rubbah:

Western Oregon mud, doug fir and red cedar:

High and dry on the east side, sagebrush and juniper, 3 sisters and brokentop on the western horizon.
