Abother great day out up Weardale
Brilliant - VERY nice scenery but a cool atmosphere - thanks for sharing.
When I lived in Durham I used to travel along the Weardale lanes on my Tiger Cub.
Ah ..... the memories. Always enjoyed a pub visit either during or after the ride.
Similar scenery and views but without the snow, in October 2009:-

You're never too old to learn something stupid
East Budleigh. Devon
Love the horn!

The horn, speedo and reserve fuel tank were all improvements I made to the Cub.
It was bought with the mirror fitted.
It was all road legal, insured and MoT'd at the time.
It later didn't need an MoT or tax disc because it was a 1960 model and therefore exempt.
I still miss the old, oily mistress.
Some more pics
Was that overenthusiasm or a badger that made the Suzuki tumble?
And here's me thinking that badgers are only met on Devon lanes.
Is that Burnhope Reservoir, just west of Wearhead, in the background?

good to see that you had a traveling petrol station with the cub in case of need, a nice looking bike
it might have been a soft landing in the snow drift though Martyn

Soft?- Maybe for a youngster on L plates, but for an old timer like me it would be painful.
There's a saying, "The older you get then the less you bounce."
I can vouch for that - I'd land like a ton of rocks nowadays.
Ha ! The youngster in 55 ! Crash caused in his opinion, power band , in mine , lack of skill , tired and just too icy !
Yes spot on with location !
