lost tools I was lucky when I got my TTr it still had its full tool kit under the side panel plus the right wheel nut sized rear one. Now i had a puncture Saturday I was only out for two hours as the weather was ****ty but I needed a ride I had not been out since Christmas. Now I'm not one for pissing around in the very wet mud two do a tube but as luck would have it I was yards from a mates house and a nice dry garage with Tea so long and short I swapped the rear out for a 21inch tube I carry. so job dun I clipped the tool box back under the panel an came home only to find after going to fit a 18 inch tube today at home the tool kits fallen off gone missing even took a slow bicycle ride back out that way today its lost forever so tubes an wheel spanner ordered from Steve only time I ever take it off is for the wheel spanner as I carry a set in the fender bag as well
Sold a TTR to a mate a few years ago (he is still riding it) and he rode it home but lost the toolbox on the way. I couldn't have put the rubber strap on properly. I searched the road on the basis that it would have come off sooner rather than later but no luck
I looked close to my mates house thinking the same thing Brian as well but no luck its in the middle of an estate then the 3 miles back from Copplestone to home. I see Steve has one in the shop I will sulk over it for a month kick some things around put penny's in a jar an replace it
I just bought one, I'll see how well it fits. It is a bit bigger than the standard one (drill a hole in the bottom of it), which if it fits will be even better. I've still got the original one and would be upset if I lost it, comes in so handy. I carry a tool bag on my rear rack with all sorts of stuff but this one is so convenient its always to first one to go to.
I have some new, but empty boxes here, if you want to make your own tool kit up. I have not had a chance to put the boxes in the shop, give me a SHOUT, if that helps.
I was coming back from North Tawton a little run round the lanes that way took a look at Brian's favourite river crossing It would have needed a Boat and I don't have the balls to ride up the steps on the bridge on the Tawton side so did not get far down that lane its like a bog pit on most of the lanes round Crediton we have had so much rain this winter. Crediton with the road closed is so nice mate its like having a real Bypass keep it closed I say
Water was up to about top of seat on that Serow I have never seen it that high at that crossing an as I said them steps on the bridge that side is steep might have had a go on the Montesa with it Trials Tire but not the TTr on that 644
That's what I was thinking I would be doing if I tried it Steve but with no one to watch me clear it I might have made it........... but then I could have broken my leg or worse with Age comes the knowledge that that could be nasty
My God the Tools an box have turned up mate just txt me a chap a number of doors down from him stopped him as he was walking the dog this morning an asked if he had lost anything off a bike. he had picked it up in the road that same day then forgotten about it till he saw him as he was thinking it was off a bike an my mate is the only biker in the road How lucky is that......................... must go buy a lotto ticket this week
No Martyn but I should have got one I just spotted I got £50 off Ernie today as well so think that might be my luck used up for the year or then again I could be moving into a Lucky year watch this space..................

The Prembonds Computer Steve Ernie I have a hand full use them like a bank ie place to keep any spare money if you are lucky to have it before you spend it on Motorbikes and parts
Tool box arrived. Doesn't fit in the standard toolbox spot. Bugger. Lugs don't go close and bolt holes are different. Reckon it will go under my rear rack though with some farkling
