With a forecast high of 38c today I went out early, not too early as the risk of hitting a Skippy are much greater.
Rode out to the Barossa on gravel roads, very dry & slippery with a fair few front end slides but back home after 140kms, stopped at a vineyard to take a few photos along the way. Back home before it got too hot, photos from this morning
Good ride I went out at 5.30 am sat clipped 2 Roos and got a wallaby full tilt into the right hand side of the front wheel hes not hopping anymore i stayed up but feel like my arms were nearly ripped off my shoulders
140 km. On one tank?? How far do you get with the TTR fuel range wise. And the WR?
Have you seen Tuesdays and Wednesdays forecast. Gonna be a stinker.
Better get out extra early.
Steve
Most times I get 180 kms before Res. but the tank would be full to the brim, I have run it right out to test the range & got 230kms
The WRR would do 160kms before the light came on with the standard tank, I fitted a 11.9 lts IMS on the WRR & get 250kms without the light coming on & it takes less than 10lts, around 9lts I think, much better on fuel with the EFI

The 14.5lt Clarke tank to suit the XR250 / 400 would be ideal, I had on on my XR400, standard tank is 10lts & would hit res at 160 - 165kms but the 14.5 Clarke was good for 250kms before res.
