Hello everyone,

After owning my 04 since July, and dealing with a ride/seat height problem (I'm short) and riding all around Cornwall,Devon and several times in France, my friend and I decided to spend the day in the Totnes area, things were going great until 11am when I had an argument with a Dacia Duster.

Needless to say I came off second best, with a smashed head light, broken front mudguard, bent handlebars, broken mirror and hand guards.

I sustained bruising to ribs and left leg,but it has not put me off,as it's my 2nd in 40 years,so i'm getting used to them now.

Looking forward to our Peak District trip in December.

Keep the wheels turning......BERT.

Hello and welcome Bert.

After 40 years of riding you should know better - the older you get the less you bounce and the longer it takes to mend. doh

I know because I was riding for nigh on 60 years before giving it up.

If you like riding in Devon then you're going to enjoy it immensely in the Peak District.

The horizons are 360 degrees round there and the hills are steeper, you're going to enjoy it but look out for Dacias. wink

Welcome to the forum Bert!

Brian

PS I was born in Debbn but spent my formative years in Cornshire (Gooseham, Morwenstow). But Hocking is a proper local surname in both Counties wink
