Lockless Fuel Cap with overflow?

Morning campers

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get an enduro style lockLESS fuel cap with the overflow pipey thing? I have to use the key on mine and I am afraid it will break the old key, also its a pain having to use the key anyway and i never park this bike anywhere. Apart from that who would be bothered siphoning my 4 pints of fuel??

Any help appreciated

Safe biking!

Have you tried TotallyTTRs a friendly shopping experience for TTR gubbins?

They have them in stock presently: CLICKY

You can drill out the locking mechanism and cover the hole with a rubber grommet? Otherwise buy a new one with keys such as Steve sells here

On a metal tank cap, you can unscrew the back and remove the lock lugs.

Or you could just not lock it?

EDIT - Just realised you said it locks automatically. Whoops. I have the acerbis locking cap on my blue ttr and you don't have to lock it. But because it has a lock in it it looks locked even when you dont. I don't even take the key with me for the cap. I've lost more than 6 of those one way valves in the bush over the years. The acerbis cap works for me.

Hi,

Thanks for the inputs folks.

...Yep..heard of that shop alright, in fact I have an order for several parts on the way across the Irish Sea right now

...Yep.. I thought of not locking it but the cap thinks otherwise, you can't remove the key without locking which is why it is such a pain in the ass

...Yep..I think the "lock out and grommet in" is possibly the way to go, I'll check the grommet department!

Thanks again guys, safe biking.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know I removed the pins from the lock as per the instructions on here and it works perfect.

Thanks for all the help,

APW
