Removing and replacing the TTR250 carb video tutorials

I have tried my hand (Trish's actually!) at doing a couple of video tutorials to help owners removing and replacing their carb for the first time.

I didn't really prepare properly so there is quite a bit of mumbling and senior "stuck for the words" moments so sorry about that!

Here they are. In the first video the carb was off in just over 7 minutes without rushing  smile

I managed to get Trish's attention before breakfast this morning so decided to try a video. As I said, I should have planned the script and not mumbled so much disbelief

I am tempted to try and video putting a carb back in but I am pretty sure that won't be a 7 minute video!

Most importantly, do you think it is helpful?

Helpful? Definitely - it shows how straightforward the job is (well, can be) and should encourage people to have a go - not be frightened. Carb/jet cleaning next?

Good idea for another video  - will try next time I have a carb that needs an overhaul biggrin

A tip for anyone that just wants to clean or try different jets is that they can leave the cables attached and get the carb out far enough to remove the float bowl to give access. However, I would recommend fully removing the carb to change the position of the needle......

PS Just took a carb off again and managed it in 5 minutes 17 seconds without over hurrying biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

You come across well on screen and most of all you know what you are talking about and are Passionate about it all the ingredients that make a good presenter. I Know we have lost lots of pic's an info from old posts it would be nice to have a Video "how to" list for the less spanner-skilled TTR owners.

Great video, nice job.

Given some of us have had the carb out a lot I wonder if we should have a blindfolded carb removal time test!
