Thinking of picking up another TTR, I'd appreciate any comments on the (terrible quality sorry) pictures below.  I haven't seen it in person yet, probably end of this week.  I'm told it starts and runs well, and I'm told low hours/miles, but you can see some wear.  I would replace the rusted/corroded bolts and such, and get the usual bolt ons from Dover (bash plate, disc guard, sump drain, etc.).

My estimation from the pics, judging mainly from the boot scuffs and scratches, is that it doesn't have many miles but must have been left outside.  The stand has lots of water damage, disc has rust but isn't very worn.  The T4 pipe is loud, which my kid will like, found a vid with comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AxTMCzZ3AA

I'll do a more comprehensive inspection end of this week, curious to look under the seat, concerned about rust on the main spring.  No signs of oil leaks.

Talk me out of this!

Maybe $1600 US?

Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, doesn't look too bad from the photos. If it really does start and run well and not using oil then the slight corrosion isn't gonna be an issue wink

Looks ok to me too. But that crease in the blue plastic above the muffler might be from a cartwheel? Or it might just have been dropped funny. Might be good to make sure everything is straight-ish.

It does look like it took a shot to the rear right, I should be able to tell if the pipe has been bent back into position. I'm still trying to get the real story on who rode this bike.

Hi Ian

The bike does not look to bad to me, yes a bit of damage, but not worthy of a rebuild.

Anyway, it will make a good spare bike for me, when I save up my plane ticketwinkwinkwink
