Finding an ROC.

Sun was out so so were we greenlaning in mighty Dorset.

The first lane we did had a downed tree at the end so some shuffling past was in order, it's been cut and thrown into the lane on purpose, probably by people from the adjacent golf club, seems old businessman like trying to spoil other folks fun.

A little way into our ride and we managed to spot an ROC nuclear monitering post, this one had the 'mind your head' sign in place and also the hatches counterweight. Unfortunately it was full of water so we couldn't go in and explore. If you don't know the history on The Royal Observer Corps, give them a google!

We went on Kibbles Lane at Beer Hackett which has a ford where the entrance has been washed away, rather than a slope, its turned into a bank with a 2 foot dropoff, so we used the adjacent footbridge.

Several animals were seen including rabbits, deers and buzzards.

All in all a great day out.

Some photos for ya too.
