I use Microsoft movie maker, it's free & easy to use, just preview the video & work out where you want to start, click edit & start, then click finish where you want it to end, save as ____ & upload in youtube.
As a guide I only use around 1 minute per hour of video, I record in 960 & upload in HD, either 720 or if short 1080
You can use or add music, fade in & out, looking forward to video adventures, not trying to blow my trumpet but I love this song
