Managed to find some time out to do some riding for a couple of days at Salisbury Plain with a mate of mine last weekend.
We managed to do the majority of byways and permissive mod roads across most of the plain.
Our choice of campsite was Brades Acre in Tilshead which was most accommodating, and the nearby pub was also very good with tasty food and many pints were consumed.
The weather was all good with just a minor drizzly shower on the Saturday and blazing sun on the Sunday.
We managed to encounter ourselves within close range of a loose military horse bolting down a byway near Larkhill at one point, whilst we were having a little refreshment break, needless to say we very swiftly moved out of the way and between some adjacent trees, the horse was going some!
Some of the trails are really quite long and you can spend a fair bit of time out there exploring.
All in all a good time was had and the TTR and my mates Serow performed flawlessly.
