Here's number 11

25mm webbing, use it as a tow rope and tie down, you can pack a much longer length of webbing into the same space a piece of rope

..

Tip number 12

Carry an emergency cable kit such as available here

Plenty of room in the tin to put some spare nuts and bolts. Also wrap some duct tape around the tin and you have some to use if need be wink

Good read thanks for sharing Brian.My personal bit of must carry kit cable ties so many uses and perfect for bodge repairs seen them used to hold a puncture on the rear rim and get home 😉

That soap dispenser thing is the best idea I have heard.

I have a spare clutch cable already run in place next to the original. If the cable snaps its only a 2 min job to hook up the replacement.

large thick cable ties for puncture when you not got spare tube round tyre and rim to stop tyre spinning
