Actually Martyn, I've been thinking of selling my 660 Tenere, so don't mock! It's a '97 though, and since I dropped it against a wall in Ireland at the weekend I've got some fairing to fix up before I make a decision.
Good luck with the search Gary,
Simon.
Thanks for kind responses .
There have been all kinds of posts on this site from bikers of yore to tips on washing dishes , most of which is quiet interesting .
Sorry if i annoyed some but there is a very good chance a ttr owner might also have another Yamaha in the shed and the ttr owners are a solid bunch
to purchase a bike from .
The TTRtenere is a hard bike to find the prices are fairly high for an old one .
I will post a pic when i get one and make sure the TTr is in the foreground .
Thanks .
Yes i own a Tenere but its not for sale. They are a great bike and good for a bit of light off road. 3 of us all on Teneres are off to Wales next month for a week of on/off road fun. Camping and moving on every couple of days , cant wait.

Thanks for the recommendation Locky .
Everything on ebay seems to make a huge price and then be relisted .
Probably friends bidding up the price .
Have bid on a few .
Will keep looking .
Thanks .
If you keep your eyes peeled you may be able to get yourself a 2007 one for 3k private sale.
If you are serious about one and you join the tenere forums, it may well help you get one.
