Just got back from the Taffy Dakar. Absolutely awesome weekend three nights of partying, two full on days trail riding, roughly 200 mile ride each way on a borrowed DR250 (My TTR 250 started making ominous noises last week so a mate lent me his bike, cheers Paul you're a star). I am absolutely bolloxed now but it was well worth it. The Taffy team put on a excellent do and we met some cracking people over the course of the weekend. If you are into off road riding I would highly recommend it. There were people on everything from Honda 90s to Triumph Explorers, lots of TTRs in various forms there.
I was also there but came home yesterday. Just 2 of us in our team (Mototrekkers) both on TTR's. We met a team of 3 that were also on TTR's and also members on here. I hope they post up as i have a few tent questions for them. The off roading was fantastic with a big mixture of trails, some quite hard with deepish water etc.
Not sure on team names and what position everyone came in but the Stepthrough team on Honda C90'S came 2nd.
The full results will be posted on the Taffy Dakar website soon.

Enter on the website. Think it opens for tickets on 1st Jan for next year. This year was £60.
That includes your entry to ride and food for the Saturday.
I'll be going next year.
