Got up this morning and thought I would give the TTR a good run out. Did the lane from Hunningham up to the fosse way. This is just a gravel track that is pretty uneventful but leads me up to hunningham hill. From here I rode down to Ufton. Came across two land rovers. Group of six or seven on Ktm bikes and two folks on crf honda's. ....every one else had the same idea. What was great I managed to work out how to get on the dis used train track that runs to Marton. Met all the same bikes again and had a real blast. At one point the 4x4's had left big pits full of rain that were waist deep..TTR coped a treat.

Nice to see a proper dirty TTR wink

What a mess the 4x4s have made! They have spoiled a few of our lanes by creating bike swallowing ruts that fill with water. The centre line isn't safe as it's even worse if you slip off into the ruts no

If you look down into the cutting to the left there are some holes that are proper scary . managed to ride around them in one direction.just . On way back i left it to late to cross the ruts to avoid. I just went for it. I was shi#@ing myself. The water was to the bottom of my tank. I stalled it on the way out and as the water was still up to the bottom of the cylinder i thought i was doomed. It started straight up and pulled me straight out. My admiration for my bike doubled on the spot.... will be up for a big day/ride at end of month ( about to go on hols). The lanes mentioned aboves are the only ones i know at mo. Be up to venturing out northants or oxfordshire for sure...when I get back i will try and arrange it.
